Women in Publishing – Conduit Autumn Party

We are delighted to announce that the Conduit autumn party will take place on Monday 18th November at 6.00pm at the h club in Covent Garden, and we are particularly excited to share with you that our guest speaker is the brilliant Afua Hirsch, writer, broadcaster, professor and author of the bestselling Brit(ish), Afua’s personal and provocative exploration of race and identity in Britain today.

As those of you who attended our previous nights will know, Conduit is a group for women working in publishing who want to connect. It was formed in the spirit of generating space for conversations. We want it to be easier for women working in publishing to talk to one another, whether that is social, or to discuss industry experiences, concerns, frustrations, ambitions and new ideas.

As an outspoken and insightful commentator on injustices and uncomfortable truths, not least in Brit(ish) where Afua Hirsch shows how we are a nation in denial about our imperial past and the racism that plagues our present, we look forward to having an audience with Afua, and hearing Afua’s thoughts on diversity, women and calling things out.

Please join us for a relaxed evening with the chance to meet new people in publishing and catch up with colleagues and friends.

We would like to thank the h club, a private members’ club in the heart of Covent Garden for the creative industries, for sponsoring Conduit’s autumn event.
